Sports Illustrated 50th Issue features a Caribbean Native (USVI)

This year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has featured diversity in this 50th annual issue. Hannah Davis from the USVI, is one of the  four models featured in the popular magazine. Davis grew up in Saint Thomas, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She stated that the best part of growing up there was “the friendly people, great weather and waking up to the sound of the waves on the beach.

At 14 years old, Davis was discovered by family friend and model scout Ginny Edwards Maxwell, of Ginny Edwards Development, who signed her toIMG Models in New York and is still her mother agent.
