    Black jockeys Kevin Krigger and Victor Lebron, both of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, will be the first Crucians to ever race in the Kentucky Derby. Krigger will ride Goldencents at the May 4 Derby and is ranked second and Lebron, who will be on Frak Attack, is ranked 28th.

    The online magazine AfricanDiasporaTourism.com (ADT) in association with the AD King Foundation will present the African Diaspora World Tourism Awards & Travel Show Expo in Atlanta, Ga. (USA) on April 26-28, 2013. The two-day event will also include a Travel Show Expo, an Africana Culture Performances Extravaganza, a Hall of Fame Luncheon in addition to the awards ceremony.     Veteran reggae star Beres Hammond will be honoured by the City Of Miami with the key to the city, which will be presented by Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones, at this year’s Best Of The Best music festival. The legendary Jamaican singer will also be presented with a Congressional Proclamation by Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson for his many musical and philanthropic contributions over the last three decades.
