It’s a must see! Kenny Leon is back in Atlanta,Georgia at the Southwest Art Center. The fresh, touching, and hilariously funny story of lovers Doris and George, married – to other people – who meet by chance while on separate business trips in 1951. The pair vow to rendezvous each year in the same place, and end up finding a connection that transcends the initial spark of passion.
Mr. Leon was presented an award by Fulton County Chairman John Eaves, for his many accomplishments. The Tony award winner delivered an enjoyable performance, along with his friend and colleague actress Phylicia Rashad. The play is an insightful look into a long-term love affair between a couple, who just met each other , and became life long friends over the years.
Many dedicated supporters and guests of True Colors Theater were in attendance. Some appearances included journalist Monica Pearson, basketball legend Dr. J, Attorney BJ Bernstein, and many more. The play runs until August 3, 2014.
