This year’s Best of the Caribbean for a 4th  consecutive year, was Tassa Roti Shop. This Caribbean restaurant features two unique qualities, as the only authentic Caribbean Buffet in metro Atlanta, and a satisfactory guarantee.  The authentic West Indian dishes of the restaurant has been recognized by multiple media outlets. The signature curry dishes, which originates from the Trinidad and Tobago tempted the taste buds of attendees.

Tassa Roti has two locations, which includes Marietta and Alpharetta.  In 1996 , the owners Shaffick and Ria Edoo moved from Trinidad and Tobago, to Marietta Georgia. The restaurant’s name is a combination of Tassa, a drum used for festivities, and Roti, a flatbread used to wrap food in like a burrito. Although menu items are available, most people celebrate Caribbean food by choosing from the buffet that offers a variety of Caribbean foods such as jerk chicken, curry chicken, bean stew, rice, peas, red beans, macaroni pie (Tassa Roti’s version of baked macaroni and cheese), Callalou (the national food of her country), butter cassava (Caribbean root plant), coo coo (equivalent of polenta or grits) and more.#BOAParty15
