Trinidad and Tobago soca star Machel Montano’s business manager, Anthony “Chinese Laundry” Chow Lin On, was shot multiple times by unknown assailants near his home in Goodwood Park on Thursday night. The businessman was rushed to West Shore Medical Private Hospital by a motorist and was said to be in stable condition at the weekend.

On Tuesday, The Netherlands’ Princess Beatrix, 75, abdicated the throne after 33 years to her son and new king Willem-Alexander, 46, and his wife Maxima, 41. In doing so, she made way for three little princesses, not even in their tweens.
CARIBBEAN AMERICAN JOCKEYS MAKE HISTORY
Black jockeys Kevin Krigger and Victor Lebron, both of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, will be the first Crucians to ever race in the Kentucky Derby. Krigger will ride Goldencents at the May 4 Derby and is ranked second and Lebron, who will be on Frak Attack, is ranked 28th.
African Disapora World Tourism Awards Celebrates Caribbean Influence
The online magazine AfricanDiasporaTourism.com (ADT) in association with the AD King Foundation will present the African Diaspora World Tourism Awards & Travel Show Expo in Atlanta, Ga. (USA) on April 26-28, 2013. The two-day event will also include a Travel Show Expo, an Africana Culture Performances Extravaganza, a Hall of Fame Luncheon in addition to the awards ceremony. The awards ceremony will take place at the Atlanta Airport Marriott.
